Artificial Intelligence(AI) has shown an upward trend of growth due to the advancement of human society however most of the advancement is still undergoing heavy development.

From a consumer perspective, the multidisciplinary and fast-growing features make AI bit difficult to digest but they are welcoming every enhancement and invention. Sometimes, technology and it’s dependencies are so amalgamated with a current society that it is hard to lay out a sustainable social development without technology. Till a few years back, Artificial Intelligence was merely a research topic but now it’s institutionalized with a profound implementation as an advanced algorithm, cybernetics, automation, mathematical logic, chatbot, autonomous car, linguistics etc.

Development of Artificial Intelligence should aim to extend and augment the capacity and efficiency of mankind to perform a task through intelligent machines, with the final goal of realizing a society where people and machines coexist harmoniously together. There are use cases of AI in computer vision, robotics, machine learning, games, healthcare, education, a virtual reality where the need to discover and enact the path to safe artificial general intelligence.

Almost a decade, few institutions conducted an evaluation and purpose was to measure changes in perception, knowledge and behavior among those who participated in AI process. The evaluation findings  demonstrated that the experiment had a significant and potentially long-term impact on people. The result has compelled the various other institutions and companies to define and articulate its value and launch the meaningful programme within the organization and community that clarify its vision for the future. And, when it comes to vision for the future, it should be measured on practical ground to fetch the enormous amount of investment in terms of resources. Several institutions conceived this project as a groundbreaking idea and took the baby steps way back whereas many still evaluating the fitment with their use case.

The company who took the first way, started monetizing the market by implementing small features into their existing product ecosystem. Global software companies like Microsoft, Google and IBM always scored higher due to their strong research and development wings. Corporate who took the second way, started working on their value proposition. Products, stories, people and funding always play a major role when it comes to new product development, and to offer a meaningful impact on society due to niche competition . Many gave up on this journey, many considered the struggle as a way of life. Perhaps, who took it being optimistic, fetching the return. 


Behind the scenes of AI development, always there was a predictability, projection, social welfare and monetization. It would be hard to sense out which factor dominated the whole game of AI but by trend it’s easy to mention here - Users are playing a key role. Essentially, when users play a key role, their data, security and usability are non-negotiable factors. Open source project like Open AI, came up heavily in this development with a significant results. Reports shows, company like Microsoft and other key players invested significantly in Open AI to redefine how AI can help the society at large. Working all these big players under one roof shows the collaboration for a better world.

AI is becoming a part of our lives - from Google search engine , Maps, Food delivery apps to self driving cars. AI has tremendous potential. Currently AI is being used to mine data from India’s biometric digital identity system “Aadhar” for 1.2 billion citizens. This is just one example of the abilities of AI. Agriculture productivity is being increased through analysis. 56% of university graduates are women, they hold only 15% of executive-level positions and 5% of the CEO ranks. The use of AI in internal HR processes and recruiting can eliminate existing biases imbalance in leadership. Sustainable cities and communities can be constructed through AI and IoT.

When it comes to healthcare , AI can play a very important role in clinical decision making by collecting more precise information. There are AI based medical diagnosis which help when there is manpower crisis and also reduces the human errors which could be dangerous in a critical health condition. There is a lot of patient and clinical data present across the world. AI can provide accurate and deep understanding about the medicines, which would help medical research in a great way. AI has developed machines that can watch and learn from doctors at work and can follow their procedures step-by-step. There are AI based visual tools present. According to experts, the accuracy of a digital eye is way better than the human eye.


Education is one of the necessities. AI can be a breakthrough in education. Teachers have to spend half of their time in administrative works and data management. AI can save this time and they can have more time to teach. Grading and marking system can be automated. AI will be able to personally help every student by keeping a record of strengths and weaknesses and can reteach anytime. AI in the future could be a lifelong learning companion. The roles of teacher could change (for better or for worse). The face of education indeed might change .

Open Ai Challenges And Future

Open AI formed to make high quality AI available to the public at the same time, it opens a risk of usability side. There are enormous debates are going on to evaluate the risk of making AI open that poses a danger to common people. We have observed a significant amount of differences in opinion and conflict of interest when it comes to handful of people taking a key decision about open AI. Undoubtedly, society should play a key role irrespective of any stakeholders and their interests. Considering the risk it possesses, there should be a healthy guiding principle to address the key concerns. And major players should take the responsibility to ensure the minimum criteria meet from the development to production release.

Human beings have unlimited possibilities and AI development have proved it well by simulating the human like consciousness. However, we haven’t even achieved 1% of human potential even after several years of development in this era. One can imagine the power of full blown AI capabilities. On the other hand, it possesses a great amount of risk as well. It’s a great sign that almost all the companies are evaluating the risk wisely to ensure AI capabilities are not getting misused.
